Can I send a glass vial of insulin thru the mail and if so, how not to have it get broken en route?
Weird question I know; but there is this lady on the website wishuponahero.com who is diabetic and in need of the same type of insulin that I used while recently pregnant and gestational diabetic...I have a whole unused, unopened bottle of the insulin left over and I want to send it to her. Is it legal to do so?? And if so, how would I go about packing it to make sure it doesn't break?
I'm not sure about how legal this may or may not be. I believe insulin is a prescription medication in most places. How do you know this person is who she says she is and that she understands how to use the insulin properly? If there is a person who has been diagnosed with diabetes and can not afford their medication, there are a number of programs available to them. I would not mail insulin to a stanger. If you want to go ahead and do this, speak to someone in your local post office about whether this is legal or not and how best to package it.
