air compressors and air?
Do they ever run out of air? Would I ever need a refill? And I'm planning on buying either this airbrush/Compressor Kit:

You only have to worry about running out of air if you are using a can of Air Brush propellant, like this:

A compressor is running all the time that you are working, so you won't run out.
If you're looking at getting your first brush, I'd go with the first set-up you listed. I don't think the compressor with the second set-up will have enough "umph" for hobby painting.
This is the set-up I use, and really like (it's about the 4th one I've used), but just the brush itself is out of your price range

I recommend brushing at around 15-20 psi, and thin your paint to a 50:50 paint/thinner ratio. Play around and practice on stuff you wouldn't mind ruining, though, before taking on a kit you'd like to keep.
