What is a brilliant birthday idea for a wonderful but very hard to shop for girlfriend?
My girlfriend's birthday is coming up, and I'm stumped for really clever gifts.
We've been together a long time; we share finances, so getting an "expensive" gift isn't terribly important; its just got to be really neat!
She doesn't like most traditional gifts; jewelry, clothes, etc. She does enjoy decorative things, but we've filled the house and agreed not to get anything else purely decorative unless its really fantastic.
She likes games, animals, fantasy, puzzles and a little bit of everything else.
The last gift I got her that she really loved was a custom made Crokinole board; I worked with the artist to get a gorgeous tiger painting on it. This was about perfect; unique, decorative, but also something we would actually be using and enjoying.
A gift I would eventually like to get for her is flying lessons; she wanted to be a pilot when she was younger and would still love to try. But that is too expensive and time consuming for now.
Suggestions?
Take her for a ride on a hot air balloon.
