Do you know that difference between oil and dry pastels?
I am in love with any type of art. I tried to do a rose with dry pastels, and it was a lot easier than oils.
It is easier, but it does not allow for as much correction of mistakes as oil does and it it hardly taken seriously amongst the art lovers. Oil is difficult to master, but once you can the techniques- the sky is the limit and you can always paint over whatever you don`t think is just right. There are plenty of step by step guides- both books and on the net. Good luck!
