Audioque AQ1200D Amp with 2 Re XXX 12 inch subs. amp kit and fuse?
i plan on purchasing an Audioque AQ1200D amp with 2 Re Audio XXX 12 inch subs. i need to know what kind of amp kit i will need and how big of a fuse i will need. thanks
Ugh.....an AQ1200d?
It is a nice amp...but not for TWO RE XXX 12's...
And not even good enough for ONE!
The AQ1200d, is a 1200 watt Amp.
And the RE XXX's are 2000 watts RMS.
So you are probably looking at a 4000 watt RMS amp.
1200 will push one....but not to its potential.
Anyway I suggest deciding on a different amplifier. And if you do plan on running 1 or 2 xxx's...You may want to get 0 gauge wiring....as the first guy answered, 0 gauge is just wiring, not fuses. Or 00 gauge wiring.
Fuses you may need a few fuses, depending on what other things you plan to put in there.
Probably 100-120 amp fuse if you just use the 1200d. 1200/12= 100 amp. But if you have an amp for your door speakers or something else like that....you may need more.
And if you decide I am correct that 1200 watts is NOT enough for a RE XXX 12 let alone two....and go with something like 3000-4000+ watts....You might need something like 300amp fuse or better.
