Wil of two glass sheets and silconed be robust for an aquarium?
Well, I have a couple of sheets of glass and I was wondering if you use aquarium safe silicon to attach two sheets of glass to form one side of the tank work? I've had enough of these sheets fill glass on all sides, but I do not want to spend money on glass. The height is only 1 foot and im fine with that, but will break tank or silicon can hold out the pieces of glass?
By the time you finish this, it will be cheaper to buy an aquarium. You also need tempered glass. And when the glass is sandwiched together, it must be done under vacuum to get the air bubbles. A better solution if you want to build you own is to obtain safety glass cut to a glass shop car. ()
