Hawaiian/beach body..?
Hello, I'm going to Maui, Hawaii with my mom, dad and brother (they all have better bodies) in a couple of weeks and i'm overweight (not thaaat heavy) but i am about 55 pounds over my ideal size, the thing is that i feel very insecure about my body, because i've been to beaches and Hawaii before and everyone has great (surfers) bodies, and i mean everyone..
Obviously i don't look good in a bathing suit..
i know is impossible for me to loose that much weight in two weeks.. so, what What can i do to feel better about this situation (i'm 22)..? i appreciate any comments!
Ditto to everything said, except the tanning salon. As far as the "everyone has great (surfers) bodies" goes, I would love to see that beach, because I never been there here. People come in all shapes and sizes. I agree that many of the local girls wear board shorts and a bathing suit (I happen to be one who does), but not just the tiny styles for women that often don't cover much more than the bathing suit itself. Many of the girls I see at the beaches where I live (on Oahu), wear mens shorts. Shop for a new bathing suit before you go and take some one you trust to be honest with you about how it looks. There are styles that can be very flattering for a larger woman, and that may help you. As a woman of curves, I try to accent my positives and down play the negatives. (I am busty, but haven't had a flat stomach in years). Try to enjoy your time here.
