Yes, if the CD drive is a CD-R (recordable) or CD-RW (re-writable) drive. Practically all of them sold in the last several years are one or both of these.
You'll have to use the appropriate kind of recordable CD media (CD-R or CD-RW). You cannot record on a regular CD that already has music or data on it.
You generally need to use a special software program to do it. Your laptop likely came with this already installed. Common names are Roxio, Sonic, and Nero. Look for one of those in your programs menu.
