How many gallons from water color?
I want to make a heavily pigmented water, probably five gallons or so. How much would I need from a tube, or from those cheap pads.
Probably too many to make it affordable. Look into tempera paints instead. Tempera just being a less refined, meaning it isn't ground as finely as watercolor pigment. It can be purchased as a liquid in large bottles and is fairly inexpensive when compared to watercolor paints. You may want to look into purchasing dry pigment which might be available in the amounts you're wanting and because it is dry and you have to mix it up maybe be even less expensive. Dry water-based pigment might be found on the internet or through paint stores that handle paints for the painting of stage scenery.
