What exactly are watercolor pencils?
I have an art set, and it comes with oils, paints, watercolors, colored pencils, and watercolor pencils. I was just wondering what they are and how i should use them, because when i drew with them they looked the exact same as regular colored pencils. Thanks!
I love watercolor pencils!
True, without water, they DO look like regular colored pencils...
If you take a watercolor brush and brush over the mark that you made with the pencil, it becomes water soluble and will make it look like watercolors.
I use them personally for creating fine details in my watercolor paintings... because as I assume you know, it is difficult to detail your watercolor paintings. My sister made an excellent watercolor painting of the Eiffel Tower with watercolor pencils/paints. I highly recommend them!
